Well, the bustling scenery is nice as long as I'm not caught within it. Despite how there were many people, I could always find time to skate across the city. It was pretty fun. It felt like one huge obstacle course!

I suppose a place like that would feel that way. I suppose that's why you developed your hobby, then?

[ It makes sense to him. Why not do some parkour and skating if there's abundant places to do it? ]

That's a part of it! I also started it to get over my fear of heights.

One of the employees comes by with their food, unceremoniously dropping each of their orders in front of them. The sandwiches are simple, but they look delicious. ]

Yeah, I made it into something I can handle with my hobby. I'd say that's pretty great. Let's eat!

My other hobbies are bowling and playing video games! Mainly shooting games that I play with other people online.

We can go to the local retro arcade some time! They have all sorts of stuff, like first-person shooters, skee ball, tetris... basically stuff you'd find at Dave and Busters, but like 10 to 20 years ago. You can win tickets with some games in which you can exchange for prizes. They range from sticky hands to game consoles.

[ His emotional state is currently (vibrating intensely) because games! He freaking loves games. ]

There's also someone who keeps beating my high score on tetris... it's kinda annoying.

I wouldn't mind that. Your reference to "Dave and Busters" is a bit lost on me, but I do get the point.

Yeah, something like that. They also have it combined with an eatery and a bar. So, when do you wanna go? I got some stuff to do next week, mostly daytime through evening so that probably won't work.

[ Wow, Oria's schedule sure is packed, huh? Kurapika wonders if it's full of extracurriculars or if it has to do with his family. ]

The weekend, then? I'm off on Saturday evening.

My boss is feeling kind enough to give me a few days off.

Growing up, the most we had in my area was a Dollar Tree, and even that went out of business.

[ Bro... That shit must have been dire. He's known about their scummy employee situations and stuff too, but that's. ]

An hour and a half away. We grew some of our own food and hunted, then everything else we supplemented with trips to the store every few weeks.

Our town was really poor, obviously.

I lived in a small town in the Appalachian mountains. That practically is away from civilization.

[ A big contrast to northern California, that's for sure. ]

[ He can't even fathom living in such a place if his dad doesn't have some villa there off the cliffside or something. I remember going hiking once and there was this fancy ass house in the mountains... what the fuck.......... ]
