[ He's having a tumbleweed twister of frustration above his head. Save him. ]
I'll get used to it eventually.
[ He was from an all-boys school!! It's fine?? Except Cethin always changed in the bathroom, so Oria never had to think about it. But also, this certain combination is deadly, he thinks.
[ Also, look. The difference between Cethin and Kurapika is that the latter is actually attractive (sorry bro), but still, it's something Oria will have to get used to. ]
No, don't worry about it. Seriously! It's fine. It's gonna be awkward if you keep it going. Just do what you want.
[ Oria takes a moment to stretch on the bed before collecting his change of clothes and goes to the bathroom. The amount of time it takes for Oria to shower is very short, but he stays in the bathroom even after ten minutes.
Then the sound of a hair dryer is heard. He has to take care of his hair, okay... leave him alone. He comes out after that, with his hair looking relatively nice. Not styled to go outside for, but still soft-looking. His sleepwear is something like a long sleeved top with sweatpants. Maximum comfy.
He also peeks if Kurapika is doing anything. If he is, Oria wouldn't want to bother him as he tells speaks about his sisters like he said earlier. ]
[ Wow, look at Oria, all well-adjusted and good at drying and styling his hair…
By the time he comes back into the room, Kurapika is lounging in his bed and working on a Sudoku puzzle, the book propped up in his lap opened up about halfway.
He can feel Oria looking at him, so he speaks up without look up from his book: ]
Are you still open to talking about your siblings?
He didn't actually expect to be given full attention, but he'll just smoothly roll with it. He didn't think Kurapika favored him this much. ]
Alright, so. My sisters. I have two older sisters. The oldest's name is Aria. the second one is Iria. My mom decided the naming theme--her given name is also "Kaleria".
Probably? Never looked into my sisters' names other than Aria being, well, an aria of the musical variety. She's also incredibly talented in the arts, but not much else. Dunno about Iri's name...
[ Hm. ]
Mine apparently means "gold".
[ He says without any enthusiasm. Nothing about him is gold in appearance. ]
[ Kurapika falls back onto his bed, pulling out his phone and typing on it before reading aloud: ]
"Derived from the Latin word aureus meaning golden or gilded, the name Oria carries a rich historical significance. In ancient times, the name was associated with qualities of beauty, grandeur, and prosperity."
[ He glances towards Oria. ]
I think there's plenty there. Its uniqueness and historical value is a good combination. [ He tilts his head. ] Do you like history at all?
[ Because... he knows Oria likes parkour and video games, but that's it really. What he finds intellectual interest in is a mystery. ]
[ It feels a little surreal for someone to be reading the meaning of his name out loud like that, but. Huh. A new reasoning. Admittedly, it's lower on the priority list. ]
History? It's useful, but I don't have any personal interest in it.
[ Though that seems to be the sentiment for many other things in his life: useful, but no personal interest. ]
[ That just confirms what he thought—Oria seems to not have personal interest in really anything academic in nature. It certainly explains why he doesn’t study at all.
But that little half-joke has Kurapika sitting back up to look at Oria, really look. ]
[ He accepts the compliment with grace--or just doesn't hesitate in taking them. He has no reason to reject it when he knows it's true. Self-respect in this room. ]
Anyway, I think she named me because of her gold eye. Some sort of connection stuff... probably? Aria is also the shortest! Then it's Iria, then me. I'm the tallest~
[ Which isn't much since he's 5' 7". ]
Still waiting for my growth spurt. Aaaaany day now.

He grew up with sisters... ]

Most of my male friends are usually in some state of undress around one another, so I assumed this much would be fine.
[ But he'll adjust for the future. It's good to know. ]
You can rest assured I won't ever go further than this.
[ Taking off his shirt is a no-no, and even the one he has one has a collar that sits around his neck. ]

No, don't worry about it. Seriously! It's fine. It's gonna be awkward if you keep it going. Just do what you want.
[ He's not even a leg guy!! That's Hien!!!!! ]

In the future, I would prefer if you outright tell me whether or not you like something, or if it makes you uncomfortable.
[ Kurapika has no problem expressing his opinion, so he doesn’t mind if Oria does the same. ]
no subject
[ He goes to lie down on his bed on his stomach with his phone that's still charging. ]

...
It doesn't take him too terribly long before he comes back out of the bathroom in his usual oversized t-shirt and pajama pants. ]
It's all your when you're ready.
[ Kurapika, meanwhile, will climb up into his bed and plop down on it, hair still wet and all. ]

[ He hops onto his own bed. ]
Not if you're busy with doing sudoku though.
[ He keeps his glasses on as he rolls around the mattress. Soft... nice. ]

[ He glances over, watching as Oria rolls around. ]
I’m not too busy with it, not unless you want my undivided attention.

[ Rude dude ]

But he sets his book and pen down and settles on his side instead, propping his head up with his hand. ]
Alright. You have it now.

Do your names hold meaning? Or are the similarities based on sound?

[ Like he’s been set up with that in mind since birth. Kurapika certainly doesn’t envy him.
But that lack of enthusiasm speaks volumes. He wonders if Aria has a similar lack of it too, despite her name suiting her perfectly. ]
Do you dislike your name?
no subject
[ Yeah. ]
I don't hate my name though.

You’re in college, so you only have a couple of years left for any remote chance of a growth spurt.
[ Kurapika smiles, just a little. ]
Give it up. You’re like me, you’re not getting any taller.
no subject
I have high hopes for the next few years! I'm not gonna give up! At least cheer me on a little!
no subject
[ It’s hopeless, Oria!! But there’s a hint of a joke in his tone anyway. ]
I’ve been the same height since fourteen.
no subject
[ Totally. ]
You hit an early spurt, huh?
